Will this product work on cars other than the S2000?
Can I use it to adjust the speedometer to read higher?
Other products provide adjustment to 1/4%, why is the Yellow Jacket only 1/2%?
Other products say they don't operate at slow speeds, like under 5mph. Why does the Yellow Jacket not have this limitation?
Will the use of this product void my warranty?
What do I do if it doesn't work?

bulletQ - Will this product work on cars other than the S2000?
A - No. It's designed specifically for the S2000 and should not be installed in other vehicles.  Just because your vehicle has an S2000 speedometer does NOT mean it will work in your car - it won't.

bulletQ - Can I use it to adjust the speedometer to read higher?
A - No.  Because S2000s seem to have speedometers that read high from the factory and after-market modifications only make the error higher, I kept the functions to a minimum in order to offer the product at the lowest possible price.

bulletQ - Other products provide adjustment to 1/4%, why is the Yellow Jacket only 1/2%?
A - Again, I'm keeping cost down, but if you really need a speedometer that accurate you shouldn't be using the factory speedo anyway - get an after-market digital speedometer designed for use in Rally cars.

bulletQ - Other products say they don't operate at slow speeds, like under 5mph.  Why does the Yellow Jacket not have this limitation?
A - It's a by-product of my unusual circuit design, but I wouldn't say it's necessarily better or worse than other designs.

bulletQ - Will the use of this product void my warranty?
A - In theory no, but some dealers will look for any excuse to not honor the warranty.  I've seen a dealer try to blame a misfire problem on having an after-market stereo installed.  Legally, in order to comply with the Magnuson-Moss Warrany Act they need to show a connection between your after-market product and a failure on your vehicle.

bulletQ - Why do you call it a "Yellow Jacket?
A - 'Cause my wife told me to (seriously).

bulletQ - What do I do if it doesn't work?
A - Every Yellow Jacket is tested using a speed signal generator and an actual S2000 speedometer cluster before shipping, so chances are it arrived in working order.  There's not much to go wrong with this product and the only problems I've had were linked to incorrect wiring so be sure to double-check your connections.  Better yet, have a friend check it for you.  If you've been staring at it for an hour he might see something you missed.

Most common problem - wiring the yellow wire to +12v instead of the +5v connection shown in the instructions.  If you do this you might as well order a new Yellow Jacket because it will fry the microprocessor in a heartbeat.

Second most common problem - bad or loose connections.  These cause intermittent operation or erratic speed displays.  I've put over 100,000 miles on mine without a hiccup so I'm confident the design is reliable.
