Now that you've purchased the DCI you should consider buying an "adapter harness".  The adapter plugs directly into the car's wiring harness so you can install an after-market head unit without cutting the car's wiring.  You will have to splice the adapter wires into your head unit wire harness but the connection to the car is a simple plug-in.
