This is a DIY kit that causes the OEM Security Indicator LED in the instrument cluster blink on and off whenever the ignition is turned off, simulating an active security system. This kit only works on clusters from 2006 to 2009, as earlier years do not have the Security LED in the cluster. You will have to supply your own wiring and supplies to install this. We supply the hard-to-find parts to make the blinking circuit as a courtesy to our customers because buying one of each part yourself is not practical because of shiping costs. And the LED is a critical part and cannot be substituted.
Installation instructions are here, on our "Freebies" page.
NOTE - Don't be confused by the presence of a blinking LED in this kit - that is NOT the security LED we're talking about and you will not have to install the LED in the cluster. I chose to use a blinking LED because it's an easy and inexpensive way to create a circuit that cycles on and off.
